In fact, its export revenues registered a robust growth rate of 26% from 2002 to 2004.

The Philippines has a diversified portfolio of export products that range from commodities, food and beverage, consumer and industrial goods, to electronics and information technology.

The country's major exports are electronic components and garments.

Electronic components (primarily semiconductors) accounted for 68.3% of the total export revenue in 2004, while articles of apparel and clothing accessories accounted for 4.8%.
