Meanwhile, Carl is recovering nicely, and Rick decides to permanently put away his Sheriff's badge and embrace the changes of this new world. But it may not include staying at the farm. Hershel tells him that once Carl is fully recovered, he'll be expecting the caravan to move on. Rick tries to convince him to change his mind, for Carl's sake, but Hershel says there are "aspects" of the farm he will not discuss, but if if Rick's people will respect his "rules," he'll think about it. That sounds a bit ... ominous.
The action highlight of the episode occurred when Dale discovered that a zombie had fallen in to one of the wells, and they had to try to get it out before the water became contaminated. Wait a minute! Contaminated or not, who in the hell would still drink that water?
