IBM opens Business Transformation Outsourcing Center in the Philippines

IBM Philippines launched a new global hub for Business Transformation Outsourcing (BTO) in Quezon City Philippines.
The new BTO center specializes in human resources, customer relationship management (CRM), and finance and accounting processes and wll deliver services in eleven languages to more than 178,000 employees of Procter & Gamble and IBM in 65 countries.
It is the second IBM outsourcing center in the Philippines and is managed by IBM Business Services (IBS). The other BTO center delivers CRM services to a number of multinational companies and is managed by IBM Daksh.
This is part of IBM's integrated global services delivery network of more than two dozen BTO centers located around the world.
"The expansion of IBM's global delivery operations in Manila confirms the value our clients are deriving from BTO and the strength of the Philippines as a location for a global service delivery hub," Renato Jiao, President, IBM Business Services pointed out.
"BTO takes a business process, transforms and operates it to allow clients to be more responsive to the needs of their people and customers," according to Randy Walker, Asia Pacific General Manager, Business Transformation Outsourcing, IBM Business Consulting Services.
IBS center's human resource services include: payroll calculation and delivery, benefits administration, expatriate and relocation services, enquiry management and call center, compensation planning, travel and expense processing as well as Information Technology (IT) application management.
IBM plans to hire and develop a local workforce proficient in many languages to deliver a wide range of business services for processes such as HR, CRM and Finance and Accounting.
The new center features high-performance network infrastructure, leading edge technology and telephony systems.
