Davao Philippines
Getting To and Around

Getting to Davao Philippines

It is easy to travel to Davao City Philippines. Davao City is the major gateway to the southern Philippines and is serviced by Davao International Airport (DIA), which has daily flights to and from major cities in the Philippines and weekly direct flights from Singapore, Indonesia (Manado) and from Hong Kong (via Cebu).

Davao is only 1,545 km (or one hour and 25 minutes flight) from the country's capital, Manila. From Manila, you can take direct flights of Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific or Air Philippines. You can also fly to Davao from Cebu City, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga City.

It takes only about 15 minutes from Davao International Airport to the city center.

Davao Airport: Davao International Airport (official name: Francisco Bangoy International Airport) is the busiest airport in Mindanao. It is equipped with state-of-the art facilities (including a clinic, child care and prayer rooms) and can accomodate 1.2 million passengers.

Getting Around Davao Philippines

Riding the brightly colored jeepneys is a fun way to see the city. It is definitely a unique experience you wouldn't want to miss.

You can also travel around the city using taxis, buses, and pedicabs or tricycles (motorcycles with side cars). Rental cars are also available.
